sudo apt install mbestudio
To update MBEstudio:
sudo apt update && sudo apt install --only-upgrade mbestudioInstalled from a .deb file? Your system does not know about the package repository yet, so apt will not find updates. Add the package repository once with the command above, then run the update command.
To remove it:
sudo apt remove mbestudioWindows
Windows 10 and 11. x64.
- Run
MBEstudio-setup.exe. It installs for the current user and needs no admin rights. - The installer is not yet signed by Microsoft, so your browser may say the file is not commonly downloaded (choose Keep), and SmartScreen may show "Windows protected your PC". Choose More info, then Run anyway.
The app updates itself. It checks at start and every few hours. When an update is ready, the app closes, installs it and opens again.
macOS
macOS 11 or later. One universal app for Apple silicon and Intel.
The macOS installer is not published yet. Until it is, use the studio in your browser; it is the same app.
Once the installer is published:
- Open the disk image and drag MBEstudio to Applications.
- The app is not yet notarized by Apple. Open it once, then go to System Settings, Privacy and Security, and choose Open Anyway.
The app updates itself. It checks at start and every few hours, installs the update in the background, and offers a restart.
Signing in
Request a sign-in email from the app. The link in the email opens the app and signs it in. The email also has a 6-digit code, which you can type into the app instead.
Nothing to install
The studio also runs in the browser at studio.vectorstreamsystems.com, with nothing to install.
