Terms of Sale and Use
Effective date: August 23, 2026 · Last updated: August 24, 2026
These terms govern purchases from and use of the services offered by Vector Stream Systems LLC ("we", "us"), a limited liability company registered in Washington, United States, through vectorstreamsystems.com (the "Site"). By placing an order you agree to them.
1. What these terms cover
We offer three separate things, and the terms differ for each:
- MBE3Dstudio plans: recurring subscriptions to the hosted studio.
- Systems Engineering Skill Pack: a one-time purchase of a downloadable file.
- Consulting: scheduled sessions and engagements.
MBE3Dstudio is not open source. It is licensed, not given, and your right to use it comes from these terms and your plan. Source access, where granted, is under a separate written agreement.
Our open-source software is not covered by these terms. CAS Studio is licensed under MIT. Each repository carries its own licence, and that licence, not this page, governs your use of that source. You do not need to buy anything from us to use it.
2. Orders, prices and payment
- Prices are in US dollars and shown on the Site. We may change prices at any time; a change never applies to an order already placed.
- Payments are processed by Stripe, and by PayPal where offered, currently for custom consulting amounts. We do not receive or store your card details.
- You are responsible for any sales, use, VAT or similar taxes that apply where you are, unless we state otherwise at checkout.
- Placing an order confirms you have authority to make the purchase, on your own behalf or for the organisation you name.
3. Systems Engineering Skill Pack
The Skill Pack is delivered as a download immediately after checkout, from a page whose link stays valid so you can return to it. Delivery is complete when that download is made available to you.
Purchase grants the named licensee a perpetual, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to:
- use the pack internally, on any number of machines the licensee owns or controls;
- modify it for internal use;
- apply it to client work performed by the licensee.
It may not be redistributed, resold, sublicensed, published, or made available to any third party, in whole or in substantial part, modified or not, including as part of another product, template, course or public repository. A single licence covers one engineer. Team and site licences cover everyone at one organisation and are available on request.
4. MBE3Dstudio plans
- Plans bill monthly or annually in advance, and renew automatically until cancelled.
- You may cancel at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period, and you keep access until then.
- We do not refund part-used periods, except where section 6 or the law requires it.
- We may suspend an account for non-payment or for use that breaches section 7, after telling you why.
- A project is a file you save to your own machine, not a record we hold. Ending a plan removes your access to the hosted studio; it does not affect models you have already saved, and there is nothing for us to delete or release.
5. Consulting
Consulting sessions are booked and paid in advance. Rescheduling with at least 24 hours’ notice is free. A session missed without notice is treated as delivered. Larger engagements are governed by a separate written agreement, which prevails over this page where the two differ.
6. Refunds
- Skill Pack: if it is not what the product page describes, email us within 14 days of purchase and we will refund you in full.
- Hosted plans: if the service is unusable through our fault and we cannot fix it, we will refund the current billing period.
- Consulting: a session cancelled by us, or rescheduled with at least 24 hours’ notice, is refunded in full.
Refunds go back to the original payment method. Nothing here limits any statutory right you have as a consumer.
7. Acceptable use
You may not use our services to break the law, to infringe someone else’s rights, to attack or disrupt the service or other users, or to attempt to obtain source code or data you have not been granted. You are responsible for what you and your users do with an account you control.
8. Your content and data
Models, requirements and other content you create or upload remain yours. We claim no ownership of them. How we handle personal data is described in our Privacy Policy. Self-hosted deployments send us nothing at all.
In MBE3Dstudio the models, analyses and exports you create are not collected, stored or transmitted to us. The agent is the exception. When you ask it a question, a briefing describing the open model is sent, through our server, to Anthropic, which processes it to generate the reply. If you attach a specification for the agent to cite, the sections it reads are sent the same way. Do not use the agent with a model, or a document, you are not permitted to disclose to a third-party processor. The rest of the studio works without it.
9. No warranty, and the limits of what we sell
Our products and documentation are provided “as is”, without warranty of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows.
This matters more than usual in our field, so we say it plainly: nothing we sell is a substitute for qualified engineering judgment, a certification authority, or an accredited process. Guidance we provide on MIL-STD-882E, ARP4761, DO-178C, ISO 26262 and similar standards is a working summary, not the standard itself. The governing document is always the standard as issued. Output generated by AI features is a draft with no authority and must be reviewed by a competent engineer. You remain solely responsible for the safety, correctness and regulatory compliance of any system you engineer with our help.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for lost profits, revenue, data or goodwill. Our total liability arising from your use of a product is limited to the amount you paid us for that product in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
11. Changes
We may update these terms. The version in force when you place an order is the one that applies to it, and material changes to a subscription will be notified before they take effect at renewal.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. The courts of Washington have exclusive jurisdiction, except that either party may seek injunctive relief where needed to protect its intellectual property.
